Unexpected trip home

This past week I traveled home for my Grandma Meads Funeral. My Grandmother was the last living grandparent for me. Its weird to think that she is gone. She was really the only grandparent I got to know and spend time with as an adult. I had some fun memories with my Grandma Mead and will cherish those times with her. I truly loved her and she will be greatly missed. I am so grateful to know that we are eternal families and next year she will have the opportunity to accept this wonderful blessing when we do her Temple work.
While I was home I got to spend almost 2 weeks with my family. It was a lot of fun to be home and have Hudson and Austin play with their cousins. Really only 1/3 of the cousins still live there since most of the cousins moved away to Arizona and Idaho, but we had fun with the kids who still live there. Hudson got to do his favorite thing with Grandpa and that is to ride on the ol Lawn mower. Austin enjoyed watching the rooster come up to the back window and stare in at all of us. This rooster would stay there almost all day, I think he thought he was a dog. Just to let those of you know that don't already know my parents live on 5 acres, which they have 10 chickens and 2 roosters. Hudson gets to go out and collect the eggs and feed them.
I am also grateful that I was able to spend some time with my oldest sister Jenell. This past year has been tough for her and her family. I didn't get to really spend that much time with her when I lived there. She was quite busy with Avarie who was battling Luekemia. Which you should know she is doing awesome. Its been 7 months since her bone marrow transplant and so far she is looking good. What a relief for my sister. Being home this last week I got to spend more time with her and take her to my favorite Indian restaurant...mmm yummy! Jenell is great to talk to. I really enjoyed are little conversations we had(some real good ones). What a wonderful example she is. Love ya sis!
